Thunder Energy Storm 360W Balcony Solar Kit

Thunder Energy's Storm 360W is a UK-market entry-level balcony solar kit: two flexible panels totalling 360W. The law changed on 27 August 2026 to permit self-installation of a compliant sub-800W plug-in kit without a CPS-registered electrician — but only for kits whose maker explicitly states compliance with DESNZ's Interim Product Specification (v2.0). As of 13 September 2026, Thunder Energy's own product page makes no such compliance claim (its FAQ copy is stale and still frames fused-spur installation by a qualified electrician as the only permitted route to market), so this kit should still be treated as needing a qualified electrician for the connection (see our is it legal page for the full picture). Thunder Energy handles the G98 DNO notification as part of the package either way.
