The law changed on 27 August 2026 to permit self-installation of a compliant sub-800W plug-in kit without a CPS-registered electrician — but only for kits whose maker explicitly states compliance with DESNZ's Interim Product Specification (v2.0). As of 13 September 2026, EcoFlow's own STREAM product page carries no such explicit compliance statement, so this kit should still be treated as needing a qualified electrician for the fused-spur connection until EcoFlow confirms otherwise. G98 DNO notification is required either way, regardless of who makes the physical connection.

Buyers wanting the widest choice of mounting style (this is the only kit here rated for pitched-roof and adjustable-facade mounting, not just balcony rail).

What I'd watch for

Confirm which wattage configuration and mounting hardware is actually in stock and priced at your chosen size — EcoFlow runs frequent sales and configuration availability shifts. Also check EcoFlow's product page directly for any future explicit DESNZ Interim Product Specification (v2.0) compliance statement, which is the only thing that would make self-install of the connection legal for this kit.
